Romag, Anna (24 AUG 1840 - 13 APR 1908)

Died, at the home of George Eder in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), on Monday morning, April 13, 1908, from heart trouble, Mrs. Anna Romag, in the 68th year of her age.

Deceased was born in Germany Aug. 24th, 1840; she came to America with her parents when five years of age and grew to womanhood in the southern part of this state. She was married to Mr. Romag, who lost his life in the army. She came to Colby twenty-two years ago to reside with her son Joe in the town of Hull, Marathon Co. For the past twenty-one years she has been housekeeper for Mr. Eder.

Mrs. Romag was taken sick Sunday and although the doctor was called, nothing serious was thought of her illness, but when Mr. Eder went to her room at 5 o’clock in the morning her found her cold in death, having passed away between the hours of three and five. She was a home woman and well spoken of by all who knew her.

The funeral was held from the M.E. Church, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. G.W. Austin officiating.
