Frane, William A. (22 DEC 1883 - 4 JUL 1908)
Died, at his home in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), July 4th, 1908, at 10 o’clock in the evening, of consumption, William Alexander Frane, aged 24 years, 6 months and 12 days.
Deceased was born on the farm in the town of Unity, Clark Co. Dec. 22nd, 1883, where he continued to reside with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Frane, until the family moved to this city this spring. He leaves his parents and three brothers and three sisters, Victor, Louis, Josie, Effie, Elsie and Leon, to mourn his departure. Will was a general favorite with all who knew him, and a prominent member of St. Kilian Court, C.O.F., which order attended the funeral in a body.
To the parents, brothers, sisters and relatives we extend our sincere sympathy.
The funeral was held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, Rev. J. Schramm officiating. The large attendance from Spencer, Unity and neighboring towns was evidence of the high esteem in which he was held.
The relatives from abroad who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Ben Miller of Chilton; Mrs. Josephine Balland of Minneapolis; Peter Wells of Osseo, Minn., and Alex. Andrews and son Edgar of Thorp.
