Hilgers, Clara M. (18 OCT 1910)

Early Tuesday morning, Oct. 18th, 1910, at St. Mary’s Parsonage, occurred the marriage of Miss Clara M. Hilgers to Oscar W. Sturner, Rev. H.J. Artman officiating. The bride was attended by Miss Bernice Blanchard, and the groom by his brother, Emil Sturner. Immediately following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents, after which the young couple left on the 8:30 train for a wedding tour to Milwaukee, Lowell and other places in that part of the state.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hilgers and has resided in this city from young childhood. She has been a bright star in the home circle among her acquaintances. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sturner of Lowell, Wis., and has been a resident of Colby nearly two years, filling the position of bookkeeper for the Colby Cheese Box & Silo Co., with honor to himself and to the company.

We wish them long life and speak for them much happiness. We rejoice that they remain among us to cast their leavening influence for good in our community.
