Harycki, Barney (10 MAY 1900 - 2 AUG 1935)

Barney S. Harycki of the town of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., was drowned in the Jump River about two miles west of Sheldon early Friday morning while swimming. He had reached the age of thirty-five years, two months and twenty-two days.

Deceased was born in Poland on May 10, 1900. He came to America with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harycki, in 1901, the family locating near Stanley. He was united in marriage to Miss Victoria Olejniczak in 1924 at Castle, Wis. For the past ten years they have resided on their farm north of Thorp. Deceased leaves to mourn his untimely demise, his widow and four children, one daughter, Irene 10; three sons, Edmund 6; Conrad 5, and Vernon, 13 months; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harycki of the town of Thorp; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Klasinski of Stevens Point; three brothers, Stanley of Detroit, John and Edward of Thorp.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F.A. Kulig at St. Hedwig’s Church on Monday morning with interment in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Sydorowicz, Stanley and Bennie Laniewski, Joseph Czech, Walter Juzwiak and Louis Olejniczak.
