Sloan, John (1883? - 14 SEP 1935)

John Sloan, 52, died early Saturday morning, following a heart attack, and funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Greibenow-Weirich Co. Chapel at two o’clock, The Rev. W.P. Powell officiating.

Mr. Sloan had been a resident of Owen, Clark Co., Wis. for the past 30 years, and for more than 15 years had been in the employ of G.I. Sturgeon. He leaves to mourn, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Card, Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Geo. Broughton, Stanley; and one brother, Otto, of Park Falls. Burial took place in Riverside Cemetery.

Those from away who came to attend the funeral were: Otto Sloan, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lemke and family, Park Falls; Mrs. Charles Card, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. George Brought Sr., Mrs. Margaret Nolan and Miss Helen Broughton, Stanley.
