Boardman, Clara B. (15 NOV 1935)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Bernard’s Church at Thorp, Nov. 15th, 1934, at 8 o’clock in the morning, when Miss Clara Belle Boardman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vedell Boardman of Eidsvold, Clark Co., Wis., became the respective bride of Joseph Foster, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Foster of South Worden, Clark Co.. Father Muckerheide officiated and performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in white satin with silk tulle veil, wearing it with a white crepe turban. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and Janna Hill roses. The bridesmaids attending were Mrs. George Smasal, sister of the bride, wearing yellow taffeta and carrying a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums and pink roses, while Miss Dorothy Foster, sister of the groom, wore green taffeta and carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums and pink roses. George Smasal and Willis Boardman, the latter being a cousin of the bride, were best men and were dressed in dark blue suits, corresponding with that of the groom.

A wedding dinner and supper was served to about 50 friends and relatives, while all the other friends were welcomed to the dance given at the Thorp Opera House in the evening. A host of friends wish Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Foster a long and happy wedded life.
