Hello there-

I can fill you in on some of the details that I know about this family (my great grandmother is a Wiedenhoeft). The Wiedenhoeft members in Clark County are descended from John Julius Albert Wiedenhoeft and Augusta (Mihlke). They moved to Colby (Clark County) about 1893 from Dodge County. I have only one location for them in Dodge County, and that is in Le Roy Township in 1885 (a WI state census). There are quite a few Wiedenhoeft families listed in Dodge County in the late 1800s, and one would guess there would be some kind of familial connections, although I've not got that far in my research yet. These 2 emigrated from West Prussia about 1868/1869.

Also, if you are interested in looking through FHS records, the villages connected with these Wiedenhoefts are: Schwetz (old German)/Swiecie (Polish) and Tuchel (German)/Tuchola (Polish) in the County Konitz (German)/Chojnice (Polish). I have not looked for the microfilm yet, so I can't tell you what's available, or if Wiedenhoefts are listed. I would begin with Lutheran parishes, as that is the religion associated with most Clark County Wiedenhoefts.

Hope this helps. Also, I do have further information on the descendants of John and Augusta, if you are interested.
