Grabe, Amelia (13 September 1898 – 5 June 1975)

A former Neillsville area resident, Mrs. Amelia Grabe, 76, of Wautoma, died June 5 at Wild Rose Community Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Satruday from the York Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Carlson officiating. Burial was in the York Center Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Arndt, Mrs. Grabe was born September 13, 1898, at High Cliff in Calumet County and was educated in schools there. She came to the Neillsville area with her parents. Her marriage to kenneth Grabe took place November 18, 1925, in Granton. Mr. Grabe preceded his wife in death August 29, 1972. Mrs. Grabe lived in this area until 1937 when she moved to Neenah.

She is survived by one son, Robert Grabe of Berlin; one brother, Ray Arndt of Park Rapids, Mn., the last surviving member of a family of 16 brothers and sisters; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
