FORMER COLBYITE DIES

Herman Meyer, of Hammond, Ind., a former resident of Cherokee and Colby, died at the Edward Hines hospital at Maywood, Ill., Thursday night. The body was taken to Marshfield w[h]ere burial was made. The deceased is survived by his wife, one daughter, one step-daughter, all of Hammond, Ind., his mother, Mrs. Henry Meyer of the town of Day, Wood [Marathon] County, and three brothers, Albert Meyer of Hammond, Ind., and William and Rudolph Meyer of Marshfield and Klondike. HERMAN MEYER DIES AT DANVILLE

Herman C. Meyer, 42, 3345 173rd street, Hammond, died yesterday in the Veterans’ hospital in Danville, Ill., after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Joan; two daughters, Rose Marie and Evelyn; his mother, Mrs. Henry Meyer of Auburndale, Wis.; one sister, Amanda of Auburndale, Wis. and three brothers, Gene, Rudolph and Albert of Marshville, Wis. The body has been removed to Prusiecki’s funeral home in East Chicago. Funeral arrangements have not been completed but will probably be held Saturday in Marshville. HERMAN MEYER DIES AT DANVILLE

Funeral services for Herman Meyer, who died in the Veterans’ hospital in Danville, Ill., Wednesday, will be held tomorrow afternoon. Meyer was 42 years old and resided at 3345 173rd street in Hammond. Short services will be held in the home at 1 o’clock and then the body will be shipped to Marshfield, Wis., for burial. The body will be taken home late this afternoon from a chapel in Indiana Harbor. [The Hammond (Hammond, IN) Times, Friday, 30 April 1937]
