Schubert, Eunice M. (19 MAR 1946 - 2 MAR 2006)

Eunice M. Schubert, 56, Oconomowoc, formally of Greenwood, lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, March 2, 2006, ay her niece’s home, with her family by her side. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Mark Schwinn will officiate.

Eunice M. Horn was born on March 19, 1949, in Greenwood, to Harold and Esther (nee Tesmer) Horn. She graduated from greenwood High School and went to beauty school in Eau Claire. Later, she moved to Milwaukee and worked at Briggs and Stratton for 35 years until she retired in 2003. She married William Schubert on July 4, 1970. They lived in Milwaukee and later moved to Oconomowoc. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling, books, animals, shopping and riding Harley motorcycles. She will be missed by many.

Survivors include one brother, James ( Dolores) Horn, Greenwood; one step-brother, Allen (Ellen) Wessel, Madison; two sister-in-law, Nancy (Tim Shannon) Schubert and Wendy Hanson, Georgia; four nieces, Jody (Marty) Duffett, Appleton, Michelle (Dale) Walde, Greenwood, Kristin Horn, Greenwood, and Veronica Richards, Georgia; one step-niece, Amanda Wessel, Madison; and two step-nephews, Scott Wessel, Minnesota, and Jonathon Wessel, Madison; great-nieces and great-nephews; and her loving cat, Sassy.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Harold and Esther Horn; her step-mother, Arvilla Horn; her husband, William Schubert; and her sister-in-law, Lois Wachsmuth.

In lieu of flowers, the family will establish a memorial fund in her name at a later date.
