Thorn, Katharine (2 MAY 1911)

A pretty wedding occurred at St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday morning, May 2nd, 1911, at nine o’clock, when Miss Katharine Thorn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Thorn of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), and Henry Baures of the town of Hull, Marathon Co., were united in marriage by Rev. H.J. Artmann. The bride was attended by Misses Rose Thorn of this city, and Rose Thorn of Cedar Lake, sister and cousin of the bride, and the groom by Messrs. William Baures and Emil Baures of Fountain City, brother and cousin of the groom.

A bountiful wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents to relatives and invited guests, following by a reception and a general good time, which lasted well into the night.

The newly wedded pair left on the 8:30 train Wednesday morning, for a wedding tour to Fountain City, the groom’s former home, and upon their return will make their home in the town of Hull, where Henry has engaged in farming. The Phonograph joins their friends in congratulations.
