Wittke, Anita (Marriage - June 1936)

Anita Wittke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wittke of this city, on Saturday afternoon became the bride of Victor Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schultz, town of Grant, the ceremony being performed by Rev. G. W. Longenecker at his home. The couple were attended by Dorothy Armitage, cousin of the bride, and Bert Schultz, brother of the bride-groom.

Miss Wittke was attired in a dainty costume pink silk crepe and wore a corsage of bouquet of lilies of the valley while Miss Armitage wore a similar pink silk crepe gown and a corsage of pink and white sweet peas.

A buffet supper was served to 30 guests at the bride’s home, which was decorated for the occasion with cut flowers. In the evening a dance and a shower was given at the Dome. Sunday a dinner was given for relatives at the home of the bridegroom’s parents.

Out of town guests were the groom’s grandfather, Frank Wiesner of Montana, Mrs. Wendt and two children of Watertown and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beil of Oconomowoc.

For the present the couple will make their home on the Schultz farm.

The bride, who graduated from the Neillsville high school in June, was popular among the students and active in athletics, and Girl Scouts and student affairs. The groom is well spoken by all who knew him as a young man of excellent character and industry.
