Duvall, Irene (17 JUN 1936)

A very pretty wedding took place at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock when the Rev. J. A. Olson united in marriage Miss Irene Duvall daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Duvall town of Colby and Orland Scheer, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Scheer, town of Green Grove.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin, ankle length and her long tulle veil was designed in a cap effect. She carried an arm bouquet of assorted flowers.

Miss Lorraine Duvall, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a gown of pink taffeta and a bouquet similar to the brides.

Merlin Scheer, brother of the groom was best man. A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents where later dinner was served to the families and intimate friends. Room decorations were streamers of pink and white and huge bouquets of garden flowers. In the evening a dance was given and enjoyed at the Oakwood pavilion. The couple will reside on a farm in Green Gove.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Heen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schultz and son all of Milwaukee.

We wish the young couple a long and happy wedded life.
