Simon, Carnan (11 FEB 1953 – 22 JUN 2019)

Carnan Simon, 66, Antigo, died on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. A private family funeral will take place with burial at the Town of Summit Cemetery.

Carnan was born on Feb. 11, 1953, in Antigo, a daughter of Carl and Edith (nee Walker) Simon. She graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1972. Carnan was married to Walter Olsen and the couple later divorced. She worked at Northern Wire in Merrill, in the press department, East Bay in Wausau and later at Country Kitchen in Antigo as a dishwasher. She was a loving mother and enjoyed reading.

Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie (Ryan) Bieneck of Greenwood; one son, Matthew Olsen of Weston; three grandchildren: Addy, Riley and Ava Bieneck; a sister, Alice (Joe) Zuelsdorff of Merrill; three brothers: Donald (Rita) Simon of Antigo, Jerome Simon of South Dakota, and Kenneth (Karen) Simon of South Dakota; and two sisters-in-law: Kay Simon of La Crosse, and Beverly (Raymond) Simon-Bostwick of Bryant.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Conrad, Roger and Ronald Simon; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Audrey; and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Nelson.
