Otto A. Zank Stricken

Funeral services for Otto Herman Zank, who died Thursday at his home in Pine Valley after an illness of four months, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Schiller Funeral home; Rev. William A. Baumann conducting the rites. Mr. Zank, who was born Jan. 31, 1876 in Germany, moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Zank, when a child to Canada, and came to Clark County 51 years ago.

Mr. Zank was married Oct. 16, 1907 in Neillsville to Miss Anna Dux, five sons, Arthur, Paul, Albert, Louis and Fritz, being born to this union, who with the widow are residents of Pine Valley. Mr. Zank is also survived by two brothers, William and Emil also residents of Pine Valley.

Mr. Zank was a quiet, hard working farmer who enjoyed the respect and warm friendship of al his neighbors and associates. He was keenly interested in the welfare of his town and particularly in school affairs. He was deeply devoted to his family who have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
