Riedel, Dale A. (21 November 1943 – 21 June 2019)

Dale A. Riedel, died Friday, June 21, 2019 in the emergency room at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

He was born November 21, 1943 in Neillsville along with twin brother, Don to Arthur and Mamie (Schmidt) Riedel and raised on a farm southeast of Granton in the township of Lynn

He received his education at Sunbeam School and graduated from Granton High School.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton.

After graduation Dale worked for his older brother, Lloyd in his electrical business. Dale bought Riedel Electric Service from Lloyd and had ownership of the business for 45 years, having nephew, Tom Riedel employed for 10 years. Wife, Gloria, was the bookkeeper.

Dale was a Nascar racing fan and along with wife, Gloria took many trips to Michigan International Speedway cheering on the blue ovals.

An avid motorcyclist, he rode his Honda 250 dirt bike Saturdays down to Pray, and the Magna 700 Honda street bike that he bought from Roger Nitschke he would ride with his wife, Gloria on Sundays. He also took motorcycle trips to Colorado with his brothers, Lloyd and Don and friend, Darwin Schlinsog.

Dale’s retirement was spent working on his wooded land and in 2010 he moved his older brother Lloyd’s garage and workshop into his woods, and after six years of hard-work a beautiful cabin was completed.

Enjoyment of weekly get-togethers with friends at Lindsey Bar and Grill and at Hilltop gave way to much talk along with a beer or two.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria, twin brother, Don (Julie) Riedel of Loveland, CO, sister-in-law, Dorothy Riedel of Marshfield, 11 nieces and nephews and dog, Ziggy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Lloyd and Clifford Riedel and sister-in-law, Esther Riedel. He will be sorely missed by the many that knew him.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Chili Corner’s Club.
