Krause, Annette Arlene (November 28, 1935 - February 4, 2006)

Annette Krause, age 70, of Granton, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville, Wis.

Annette Arlene Krause was born on November 29, 1935 in the Town of Weston, the daughter of Frances (Poppe) and Arno Durst. She attended school in the Town of Hewett and Neillsville High School graduating in 1953. She then went to work for the Neillsville Bank as a bookkeeper. Annette loved to go to the Silver Dome Ballroom dancing and that is where she met Leland Krause. She and Leland were married on August 13, 1966 at the Pine Valley Lutheran Church. From that time on she devoted all of her time to being a housewife. Annette loved life, sewing, cooking and baking.

Annette is survived by her husband, Leland; one aunt, Clara Hemp; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts; uncles; and a cousin.

Funeral services for Annette will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 11, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery in Granton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 10, at the Gesche Funeral Home and again Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 preceding the service.

Serving as casket bearers will be Annette’s family and friends.

The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville is assisting Annette’s family with arrangements.
