Thomas, Robert (30 SEP 1857 - 5 DEC 1933)

Robert Thomas, 76, passed away at his home at Sherry, Wis., December 5th, after a lingering illness of Stomach trouble. The deceased was confined to his bed for over two years.

The deceased was born in Germany September 30, 1857, and came to this country in 1884, since which time he lived in New York City four years and has been a resident of Sherry for forty-four years.

On April 3, 1886 he was united in marriage to Miss Lena Katterman at Brooklyn, New York.

He is survived by his widow and the following children: Robert, Henry, Rudolph, Otto, Charlie, Arthur, Fred, Herbert and Miss Elfreda of Sherry, Mrs. Ralph Scheel, Mrs. Alfred Mandel of Loyal, Mrs. Hattie Brecker of Unity and Walter at Marshfield. Besides a brother Rudolph Thomas and a sister Mrs. Anna Gunther of New York City.

Funeral services were held from Martens funeral home, Junction City, Wis., Friday, December 8th at 2:30 P.M. Mr. F. W. Petren, Wausau, officiating. Interment was made in the Union Cemetery, Sherry.

The Tribune joins the friends of the bereaved in extending heartfelt sympathy.
