Risser, Eva (1868 - 1937)

Funeral services for Mrs. Eva McConnaughey Risser, wife of Rev. H. A. Risser, who died today at her home at Tonkawood, Lake Minnetonka, will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Strobeck Mortuary at Hopkins, Minn., with burial in Groveland Cemetery. Born in Washington, Iowa in 1868, Mrs. Risser lived for a number of years in Merriam Park, St. Paul, where Mr. Risser was pastor of Olivet Congregational Church. Since 1915 they had lived at Tonkawood. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. G. N. Bassett of Minneapolis; a son, Rev. Richard A. Risser, Bottineau, N. D.; two grandchildren and a brother, Frank McConnaughey, of Winona, Minn. --- Minneapolis Journal.

Rev. and Mrs. Risser were residents of Neillsville from 1908 to 1914. Mr. Risser was pastor of the Congregational Church and Mrs. Risser was a faithful and efficient co-worker with him in the affairs of the church. She was also a prominent member of the Monday Progress club, a helpful factor in other community activities, and a lady of rare culture.

The old friends of the family here will extend to the bereaved relatives, their deepest sympathy.
