Strangfeld, Joseph (September 10, 1898 - March 20, 1967)

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Christie Methodist Church for Joseph Strangfeld, age 68, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died here Monday, March 20, 1967. The Rev. Carl Booher of Greenwood will officiate. Burial will be made in the Town of Weston Cemetery.

Mr. Strangfeld was born September 10, 1898, in the Town of Washburn to Lucas and Caroline (Schepp) Strangfeld, where he also attended school. In his younger years he did farm work, later moving to the Town of York, where he was engaged in carpenter work and farming. He later farmed in the Town of Weston, retiring in 1960.

He was married September 10, 1929, in Loyal to the former Bertha L Sischo.

Mr. Strangfeld is survived by his wife; three children, Edward of Neillsville, Mrs. James (Virginia) Deacon of Eau Claire and Raymond of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Katherine) Gibeau of Jackson, CA, and Mrs. Richard (Elizabeth) Ableiter of Carlton, MN; three brothers, John, William, and Peter, all of Neillsville; and ten grandchildren.
