Meier, Renatta (20 SEP 1885 - 17 SEP 1914)

Mrs. George Meier died at her home in South Abbotsford, Wis., very suddenly Thursday afternoon. On Wednesday she gave birth to a still-born child, and was apparently doing nicely under the doctors treatment, up to Thursday noon. The cause of death as given in the burial certificate was puerperal embolism of the heart.

Renatta Brann was born in Athens, Wis., Sept. 20th, 1885; she was united in marriage at Athens, to George Meier of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Dec. 9th, 1913. They had just recently purchased the Martin Anderson farm at South Abbotsford, and were planning for a bright and prosperous future. The relatives and friends deeply sympathize with George and his sad bereavement.

The funeral was held from St. John’s Church in this city, Sunday, Sept. 20th, the twenty-ninth anniversary of the deceased lady’s birth, Rev. Lienk officiating. Interment was in Colby Cemetery.
