Halpin, Mary Ann (3 Jan. 1863 - 1 Oct. 1937)

Mrs. Thomas Halpin passed away Friday, Oct. 1, at her home on the north side, aged 73 years, 8 months and 28 days, after a lingering illness.

Mary Ann *Laney was born in Jackson County, Jan. 3, 1863, and grew to womanhood there. She was married to Thomas Halpin of Alma Center at Neillsville Oct. 28, 1892. They settled on a farm south of Alma Center which was their home for 40 years.

Five years ago they moved to Neillsville and bought a home.

Mrs. Halpin is survived by her husband, two sons, Theodore in the town of Loyal, and Paul in Loyal village, and one daughter, Miss Irene Halplin, stenographer in Chicago, who helped cared for her mother in her last illness.

Funeral services were held on Monday evening at the Catholic Church in Alma Center, Rev. Fr. Anibas officiating.

The funeral was attended by many relatives and friends.

**Note:

Mary Ann Laney is my grandmother. You have her listed as Daney. My father's name is Theodore. Thank you for correcting this.

Bill Halpin
