Gorselitz, Ferdinand (4 April 1864 – 29 Oct. 1937)

Ferdinand Gorselitz, who lived for more than 30 years on his farm in Pine Valley north of Neillsville, died at the home of his son, Gustav, in Kaukauna, Oct. 29, aged 73.

Mr. Gorselitz was born in Germany, April 4, 1864. He came to America in 1880 and located at Detroit.

Thirty-three years ago he moved with his family to Pine Valley, caring on his farm there until last year when he went to Kaukauna to live with his son.

He was married to Henrietta Rogetzki in 1892, and she died in 1910. Four years later he married Hattie Schutz.

Surviving children are Mrs. Emma Soth, California; Mrs. Tillie Kronberger, Neenah; Mrs. Clara Sturgis, Detroit; five sons, Emil, Deerbrook; Ferdinand, Jr., Reedsvill; Otto, Pine Valley; Charles and Gustav, Kaukauna; also 12 grandchildren and one brother and sister.

Services were held at the Lowe Funeral Home Monday afternoon, Rev. Wm A. Baumann officiating. Interment was in the Neillsville Cemetery.
