Bartell, Libbie (Marriage - 12 Nov. 1937)

The marriage of Miss Libbie Bartell of Neillsville and John R. Meade of Milwaukee took place at Ascension Lutheran Church Milwaukee at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 1937, Rev. E. S. Hjortland performing the rites in a single ring ceremony.

Mrs. L. J. Petri, sister of the bride, and her husband attended the couple.

The bride wore a rust colored suit, beaver trimmed, with brown accessories and a shoulderette of gardenias, yellow roses and small rust chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid wore dark green with a similar bouquet.

Mrs. Meade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bartell, grew to womanhood in this city. She was educated in the Neillsville schools and later attended Business College. She worked for the Clark County Abstract and Realty Co. of Neillsville for a number of years; for the Land Title and Trust Company of Cleveland, Co., for 2 ½ years, and for the past few years was employed in the office of the Clark County Treasurer. She was most efficient in her work, charming and courteous in manner.

Mr. Meade attended school at Prescott, Ariz., and grew to young manhood there, later coming to Neillsville where he was employed by the Badger State Telephone & Telegraph Company. At present he is employed by the Electric Co. of Milwaukee.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Meade are well known in this community and have the best wishes of a large circle of friends. They will be at home at 2616 West Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee.
