Re: Bio: Eggett, Robert
Contact:  Kathleen

The family does come from Yorkshire. The family story is that Ann Donkin and Robert Eggett married in England. They work in Windsor Castle in the kitchen and the stables. Another line of the family was the Lerwills. They actually had royal blood in them. I like to refer to them as our version of the old British TV Show Upstairs-Downstairs. A lot of my English Eggett records is sketchy because the early records were destroyed in a fire. I have traced them thru census records back to 1871. The Donkins are in the 1861 Census. Ann had 7 siblings but I have no record if Robert had any other family living. Any of this sound familiar?
