Branish, Duane L. (23 AUG 1960 - 17 JUN 2006)

Duane L. Branish, 45, died at his residence on Saturday, June 17, 2006. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 21, at Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Rob Love will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Wayside Cemetery, Barron.

Duane Louis Branish was born on Aug. 23, 1960, in Rice Lake, to Thomas and Fern (nee Tessling) Branish. He attended school in Rice Lake and graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1979. He was a certified arthritis aquatic therapist through the YMCA. On Feb. 14, 1981, he married Dawn Denise Taber at the First Baptist Church, Barron. They resided in Rice Lake and he worked at Birchwood Manufacturing in Rice Lake for eight years. They moved to Greenwood and he drove truck for Barr Animal Foods and Plautz-Perkol until becoming disabled. He enjoyed mechanics, racing at the local tracks, NASCAR racing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Branish, Greenwood; his daughter, Desiree Branish, Greenwood; his parents, Thomas and Fern Branish, Rice Lake; one brother, Dan (Sue) Branish, Rice Lake; One sister, Diane Wampfler, Rice Lake; and his mother-in-law, Ona (Mel) Taber-Cruz, Barron.
