Hohenstein, Gary James (February 11, 1955 - May 30, 2006)

Gary James Hohenstein, age 51, of Claremore, OK, formerly of Neillsville, passed away on May 30, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Gary was born February 11, 1955. He attended Washburn Elementary School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1973. He married Marsha Peterson in 1976. Gary worked at Nelson Filter after graduating. He served his country in the Air Force from October 1976 until January 2001. Gary enjoyed time with his family, motorcycling, hunting and fishing, and the family pets. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife, Marsha, of Claremore, OK; his two daughters, Nancy Clift, of Claremore, OK; and Lisa (Jayson) Huddleston, of Cabot, AR; and two granddaughters, Amanda Hohenstein and Melissa Clift, of Claremore, OK. He is further survived by his parents, Darrel and Joyce Hohenstein, of Granton; his siblings, Gene (Irene) Hohenstein, of Neillsville; Cheryl (Walter) Karl, of Neillsville; Dale (Bonnie) Hohenstein, of Chili; David (Carole) Hohenstein, of Black River Falls; and Terry (Tammy) Hohenstein, of Gardnerville, NV. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, as well as his grandmothers Fern Kuehn and Ruby Krejci.

Gary was preceded in death by his grandfathers, George Kuehn and Harold Hohenstein; and a step-grandfather Rex Krejci.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
