Butterfield, Joanne Frances (August 25, 1930 - June 16, 2006)

Joanne Butterfield, age 75, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Waukesha, died Friday June 16, 2006 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Joanne Frances Schmidt was born on August 25, 1930 in Neillsville, to the late Frank and Helen (Pulvermacher) Schmidt. She attended grade school in Neillsville and then went to the convent in Manitowoc where she graduated from high school and attended college. Joanne moved to Waukesha and on September 11, 1953, she was united in marriage with James R. Butterfield. Joanne worked for O’Brien Portraits, the Waukesha Freeman, and for several insurance agencies in Waukesha. She was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Jim Butterfield, of Beaver Dam; her daughter, Donna Rae Butterfield, of Waukesha; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eleven brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Mass was held Tuesday, June 20 at St. Katherine Drexel Church, in Beaver Dam, Fr. Carlos Florez officiated.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Joanne Butterfield’s name to the Beaver Dam Humane Society or the Waukesha Humane Animal Welfare Society.
