Margaret J. Pederson, 87, of Granton, died at Neillsville July 27, 2006.

Margaret was born March 27, 1919 in Bethesda, Tennessee to Frank and Cynthia (White) Brumbach. She graduated from Bethesda High School and was employed at a bank in Tennessee before marrying Merle Pederson Jan. 16, 1943 at Rollo, Missouri. They moved to a farm in the town of Cary after 1949, and from 1965 - 1973 operated the Deer Trail Cafe on Hwy 73 in the Town of Sherwood. Margaret continued to live there after retirement, and moved to Neillsville in 2005.

Survivors include four children, five grandchildren, two great-grandsons, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Merle, on May 17, 1999; one brother, Frank Brumbach; and one sister, Caroline Benjamin.

Funeral services were held at Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville, with burial in the Sherwood cemetery.
