Christine went to be with our Lord carrying her unborn son Christopher on January 11, 2006. She was born on June 19, 1984 in Hibbing, MN, the daughter of Edward and Carol (Zaitz) Lee.
In 1986 the family moved to Thorp, WI where she grew up and attended area schools. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoyed working with the elderly. She also worked at Grassland Dairy. She loved and enjoyed children and being in the outdoors, especially fishing. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thorp, WI.
She is survived by her parents, Edward and Carol (Zaitz) Lee of Thorp, WI; three sisters: Melissa (Jason) Cox of rural Boyd, WI; Sara Welch of San Diego, CA, and Julie Lee of Ladysmith, WI, nieces and nephews: Courtney, Jonathan & Hannah Cox; her maternal grandmother Gloria Zaitz of Hibbing, MN; aunts and uncles: Ronald Zaitz of Babbitt, MN, Thomas (Shirley) Zaitz, Michael Zaitz and Steve Zaitz all of Hibbing, MN, Elaine Suda of Holcombe, WI and Bernard (Shirley) Lee, John (Pat) Lee and Glenn (Sonja) Lee all of Duluth, MN; her great uncle John (Mary) Evancevich of Babbitt, MN and great-great-great aunt Marie Krampotich of Hibbing, MN and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Albert and Clara Lee and maternal grandfather Edward Zaitz.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorp, WI with Pastor Daniel Welch officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church and Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church.
