Bowen, Edna (17 NOV 1931)

A wedding of much importance was solemnized Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Waukegan, Ill., when Miss Edna Bowen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bowen, residing four and one-half miles southwest of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was united in marriage to Mr. Rudy L. Berger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Berger of Withee, The Rev. A.C. Bartz, pastor of the Ev. Lutheran Church of Waukegan, officiating.

The bride is a charming young lady of Longwood township, and for three years taught school, after which she was employed at Stevens Point, in the offices of the Hardware Mutual Insurance Co. for the past year she has been at home, giving up her duties at Stevens Point because of illness.

Mr. Berger is a young businessman of Withee, and a member of the village council. Since his graduation from school he has owned and managed the Berger Pharmacy, and is enjoying excellent business in his chosen profession.

Mr. and Mrs. Berger returned home Tuesday evening from Illinois and for the present will make their home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Berger. Their many friends in Withee and vicinity extend best wishes for a happy wedded life.
