YOUMANS, MRS. MARGARET L. (3 OCT 1870 - 1934)

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Jan 17th, for Mrs. Charles Youmans, 63, at her home east of here and at Hope Chapel, the Rev. Charles Brown, Augusta, officiating. Burial took place in the Spencer cemetery.

Pall bearers were: Gus. Haslow, Robert. Haslow, Chas. Giloy, Art Sayles, Albert Schultz and George Wehymiller. The flowers were in charge of the following: Vera Arp, Eva Hunerjager, Alberta Kissinger, Eva Ploth and Gladys Proctor.

Mrs. Youmans, nee Margaret L. Kissinger, was born in Sheboygan county Oct. 3, 1870, and came to Clark County with her parents as a child, settling on a farm east of Spokeville. She was married to Charles A. Youmans on June 18, 1893, and six children were born to them, one dying in infancy.

Those surviving are Fred, Granton; Merton, Loyal; Howard, at home; Grace, Mrs. Ed Hunerjager, Owen; and Blanche, Mrs. Geo. Arndt, Janesville. Mrs. Youmans is also survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Phillip Kissinger, Sr., Owen, two brothers, Jane and Phillip, Spokeville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Proctor and Mrs. Emma Wegner, Owen; and 12 grand-children and one great grandchild.

During the many years that Mrs. Youmans was a resident of the community, she had the esteem of every one. She was devoted to her home circle and was a kind neighbor and friend. Her memory will long be cherished. She was a member of the Hope Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church.

Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. John Nichols and Mr. Wesley Nichols of Sparta; Milton Youmans of Fond du Lac; Harold Nichols, Ervin Nichols, John Koebel and Harry Treaworther of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bender of Colby; Mrs. Phillip Kissinger. Sr. Mrs. Emma Wegner, Mrs. Hiram Proctor and daughter and Mr. Forrest Proctor of Owen: Mr. Alvin Kissinger of Chili and Mr. and Mrs. R. Genett of Marshfield.

Card of thanks: We thank all those who so kindly assisted us during our recent bereavement. We also thank our neighbors for furnishing cars, friends who gave the beautiful floral bouquets, Rev. Chas. Brown for his comforting words and Mrs. Georgas for her kind services.
