Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock a.m., for the late Mrs. Frank Salwach, who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield, Sunday morning following an operation for childbirth.

Mrs. Salwach entered the hospital Saturday morning for an examination, and after consultation of a number of surgeons and physicians it was thought best that an operation be performed, and Sunday morning she underwent the operation. The operation proved only partly successful, for a twelve pound son was born, but it took the life of the mother.

Mrs. Salwach, nee Miss Mary Sweech, had been a nun at Bevent, Wis., for twenty-one years, and was married to Mr. Frank Salwach on August 20, 1931, at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). After their marriage they made their home in Owen, where Mr. Salwach has conducted a shoe store for the past several years.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Father Kulig at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church at Thorp and burial took place in the church cemetery. The funeral was one of the largest to be held from that parish.

She is survived by her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Sweech, Chicago, her infant son, and five step-children. The family have the sympathy of their numerous friends in this community and at Thorp.

*The baby was named Frank Marion Salwach.
