Anita,

I am also a great-great granddaughter of Curtis Markham and Sarah Markham. All the information we recieved is also in a Civil War file. I am not sure what is going on. My great-grandmother Bessie Morse Sischo was present at his burial as far as the paperwork we have knows. I saw a article in a local paper dated a year before his death that said that his house burned to the ground. We thought he stayed with a daughter in Loyal, WI. My great-grandmother was present at his burial so we figured he was buried here. THis is truly a mystery. I will contact the Veteran's office and get copies of what we have here and I can email them or send them by regular mail to you. Which do you prefer? Please let me know. Thanks.
