German, Mr./Mrs. Warren (Golden - 5 Aug. 2006)

Warren and Mary Dona German, Curtiss, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug 5, 2006 at the el Norteño Banquet and Conference Center, Curtiss, Wis.

They were married Aug 1, 1956 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Wuertzburg. They lived on their farm in rural Owen for 46 years and retired in November 2005. Warren still has a mechanic shop at the farm.

Their six children all attended the reception; Terry, Rose and David, Owen; Cathy German, Curtiss; Patti German, Eau Claire; Sheila, Ron and Andrew Konieczny, Tomah; Carla, Izelia and Tristen Golatt, La Crosse; and Tim, Oriela, Mary and Miles, Owen, Wis.

All ten grandchildren and four great-granddaughters attended. A meal was served and a dance by the Harmony Four followed. The children held a shot-gun wedding and a granddaughter; Angela Wiedeman, wore her grandmother’s wedding dress.

Out of town guests were from Panama, California, Minnesota, Kansas City, Kansas, Wausau, Appleton, Neillsville, Thorp, Black River Falls, River Falls, Brandon, West Bend, Marshfield, Taylor, Edgar, Colby, Withee, Phillips, Wisconsin Rapids, Tomahawk, Cable, Abbotsford Kenosha and Shell Lake.
