Kotrba, Charles T. (August 26, 1931 - August 28, 2006)

Charles T. Kotrba, age 75, of 209 East 2nd Ave, Stanley, WI passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 28, 2006 with his family at his side.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Plombon Funeral Chapel, Stanley, WI with Pastor George Olinske officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Stanley, WI. Friends and family may call from 9-11 a.m. prior to service. Plombon Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Charles was born August 26, 1931 in Chicago, IL and grew up there, worked on the shipping docks for many years and played in various polka bands. On November 12, 1988 he was united in marriage to Rose Zaszczurynski at the United Methodist Church in Cadott, WI and returned to Chicago to reside until 1997 when he retired and moved to Stanley.

Charles is survived by his wife, Rose of Stanley, WI; stepchildren: Ted (Lori) Zaszczurynski of Lansing, MI, Geraldine Goebel of Berwyn, IL, Gail (Ronald) Sheleen of MN, Terrnance "Butch" (Patricia) Zaszczueynski of Bellinger, WI, Glenda (Floyd) Green of Thorp, WI, Gabrielle (Brian) Pecha of Stanley, WI, and Gwen Zaszczurynski of Tennessee; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and in-laws: George (Ethel) Meeker, Judy (Mike) Gwiazda, Sharon (Tony) Lange, Chester (Sandy) Meeker, Waneta Gwiazda and Marvin (Betty) Meeker.

Charles enjoyed gardening and planting roses for his wife, Rose.
