Schlinsog, Charles (4 Jan. 1867 - 13 Feb. 1939)

Charles Schlinsog, 72 year-old resident of the town of Lynn, passed away at Marshfield Hospital at 7:15 Monday night after a long illness. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o’clock from the Zion’s Lutheran Church, Granton, and interment taking place in the church Cemetery, Rev. Arthur Laesch officiating. He had been ill since November and confined to the hospital since January 11.

Deceased was born in the town of Grant January 4, 1867, to Mr. and Mrs. William Schlinsog, Pioneers of Clark County. He spent all his life on the farm. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and was a member of that church since childhood.

September 14, 1898, he was married to Bertha Sanger of Fremont Township. He was a well known and highly respected resident of the town of Lynn.

He is survived by his wife and three children: Mrs. Ruth Hosert, Chili; Anita, Mrs. Arthur Hillert, Grant; and Vera; Mrs. Raymond Jones, Waupaca. There are also eight grandchildren, three brothers and five sisters: Henry Schlinsog, Grant; Herman Schlinsog, Lynn, and William Schlinsog, Greenwood; Mrs. Emma McKand and Mrs. Anna Guk, Chicago; Mrs. R. Keller and Mrs. Paul Hessel, Abbotsford and Mrs. Adolph Beil, Chili, and a host of other relatives. A brother, Fred, died five years ago and the parents are also predeceased.
