Stubbs, Andrew (May 1950 - 15 JUL 1926)

A sad occurrence, and the unusual one, of two brothers being laid out and prepared for burial in the same house. This happened at the home of James Stubbs, on the farm where he resides, three miles east of Merrillan (Jackson Co., Wis.). His father, Andrew Stubbs, who lived for many years north of Alma Center, had been taken there for care a week previous, died Thursday night. Two brothers came to attend the funeral, and of them, Louis, died suddenly Saturday night. The remains of Louis were taken to his home at Sun Prairie where funeral services were held Monday, conducted by Rev. John Wilcox. The remains of Andrew were taken to Alma Center and burial also held Monday. The brothers were 75 and 62 years of age.
