Johnson, Dorothy (26 SEP 1926)

Mr. Ivan Victor Putman and Miss Dorothy Johnson were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Johnson, five mile north of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Sunday, Sept. 26th, 1926. The Rev. Chas. Sigglekow of Withee, a former pastor of Humbird, officiated. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Ruth, as bridesmaid, and Mr. Edwin Johnson was best man.

After the ceremony a bountiful wedding dinner was served. Both the bride and groom were members of the graduating class of 1926 of the Humbird High School, and the class colors, beautiful sky blue and salmon pink, predominated for table and room decorations.

The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Putman and grew to young manhood in this village. His happy bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Johnson, and is well liked by all of the younger set. They will reside at Withee, Mr. Putman having employment at Owen, Wis.

Those from here attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Putman and family, Mrs. Helen Fitzmaurice, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Johnson and son Edwin.

All join in congratulations and best wishes to these young people.
