Lange, William (19 SEP 1874 - 17 MAR 1937)

Rev. Wm. Henry Lange was born September 19, 1874 at Krummahl Hannover Germany. He came to America at 17 years of age. He attended Luther College at Afton, Minn., after which he preached there for three years.

On the 6th day of June 1896, he was married to Miss Martha Grob of Pine River, Wis. To this union was born six sons and two daughters. Three sons died in infancy.

Preaching at Afton, Minn. from 1895-1898, in Lakota, Iowa from 1898-1903, he came to Loyal and was pastor here from 1903-1910. From Loyal he moved to Lebanon, Wis., where he lived until his death on March 17th. Funeral services were held at Lebanon March 22nd, and interment made at that place.

The deceased had been ill for some time and had underwent an operation at Madison November 1, 1936 from which he never recovered. He had reached the age of 63 years, 5 months and 28 days. Leaving to mourn his loss are his wife and five children and one brother; also four grandchildren.

The following pastors officiated at the funeral services: Rev. H. Thedinga, Rev. John Meyer, Rev. O. Kubitz, and Rev. K. F. Herberer.
