Christensen, Anne K. (19 FEB 1862 - 9 JUN 1937)

Funeral services for Mrs. Jens Christensen, 75, who died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Jensen, was conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Jensen home.

The Rev. H. F. Leschinsky conducted brief rites, after which the body was taken to Withee where another service was held at 2 o’clock at the Danish Lutheran church, of which Mrs. Christensen was a member. The Rev. H.J. Holst officiated there and burial took place in the Withee cemetery.

Anne K. Nielsen was born Feb. 19, 1862, in Denmark, and was married there on July 27, 1886, to Jens Christensen. In 1888 she came with her husband to the United States, locating at Clifton, Ill., until 1910, when they moved to Withee. Mr. Christensen died on Dec. 25, 1918. Mrs. Christensen came to Loyal two years ago to make her home with her daughter.

Surviving her are the following children: Anena, who is a missionary in South India; Mrs. H. O. (Martine) Jensen, Texas; Mrs. J. H. (Emma) McCoy, Minneapolis; and Carl Christensen and Mrs. George C. (Florence) Jensen, Loyal. One brother Carl Nielsen, California, and eight grandchildren also survive.
