Ward, Jennie (Sept 18,1860 - Sept 9,1906)

Mrs. Jennie Ward, wife of George Ward of the town of Unity quietly passed away Sunday morning after a lingering illness covering a period of several years.

Mrs Jennie Kinney was born in Dane county on Sept 18,1860. She was united in marriage to George Ward on April 10,1882.

They removed to the town of Unity in Clark county in 1882 where they have since resided.

Mrs. Ward was of a quiet and retiring disposition and was deeply loved by the friends whith whom she was most intimate. While she was a home loving woman and her greatest interest centered there, yet her social duties were not neglected.

During the past several years that she has been afflicted with that dread disease, consumption, she has exhibited a wonderful degree of patience and although it was hard to sever earthly ties, she was ready when the summons came to answer the call to go up higher.

The funeral services were held at the residence at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Andrews of Abbotsford and were largely attended by neighbors and friends after which the remains were laid to rest in the Unity cemetery.

Card of Thanks

I wish to express my thanks to the many neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted during the sickness and burial of my beloved wife. George Ward
