Gasecki, Vincent (October 19, 1914 - August 18, 2004)

Vincent Gasecki, age 89, Town of Green Grove, Owen, Died on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, where he had resided since June 3, 2004.

Funeral services for Vincent were held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, Wis. Father Eric Linzmaier officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Pallbearers were jerry Czubakowski, Melvin Kudingo, Eugene Czubakowski, John Gardner, Orlando Ackerman and Jimmie Constabileo

Visitation was held at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen on Friday, August 20, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Vincent Gasecki was born on October 19, 1914, in Holdingford, Minnesota, the son of Valentine and Mary (Kapcynski) Gasecki. Vincent and Lillian Czubakowski were united in marriage in Chicago on January 9, 1943.

Vincent worked in a war-plant during WWII and later was employed with the Greyhound Bus Company as a mechanic in Chicago. In 1951, the couple moved to a farm in the Town of Green Grove, retiring in 1979. They continued to reside on the home farm. Vincent enjoyed playing the concertina with his dog at his side.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 61 years Lillian Gasecki of Owen, and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Wallace and two sisters: Frances and Genevieve.

Maurina Funeral Service of Owen assisted the family with arrangements.
