Mr. and Mrs. Hebert Brintnall of Thorpe were guests at the home of the former’s sister, Mrs. J. H. Vogt, over Christmas.

Mrs. M. O’Connell and children and Miss Bessie Purkis went to Athens Saturday to spend a couple of weeks with the former’s sister, Mrs. N. Knutson.

With its last issue the Wausau Central Wisconsin entered upon its forty-ninth year, having been under the management of R. H. Johnson for the past thirty-seven years and like some stuff the bad men drink; the older it gets the better it is.

Wednesday evening a large party of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wescott and preceeded to make merry until the "wee small" hours. The event being Mrs. Wescott’s birthday anniversary. An orchestra was provided and dancing was indulged in.

Dr. J. H. Clark was called to Sharron last Thursday by a message announcing the death of his mother which occurred there that morning. The Doctor left on the 8:37 train to be present at the funeral. The deceased had reached the ripe age of 84 years and had until shortly before her death, enjoyed good health and was ****(rest is cut off).
