Christopher M. Olson

GRANTON -- Christopher M. Olson, 31, of W1095 Hill Road, Granton, died on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, as a result of a bicycle accident at the intersection of Highway 10 and County Highway Y in the town of Freemont, Clark County.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield with the Rev. Peter Manickam officiating. Doug Seubert will be the organist along with John F. Binder and James W. Eckes as the vocalists. Joining the musicians will be Cliff Olson and Justin Sprague.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield with Rory Retterath, Travis Seubert, Eric Folz, Daniel Brun, Kipp Schreiner and Robin Sersch as the pallbearers.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home and again from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services Friday at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Christopher was born on May 10, 1975, in Marshfield to Keith A. and Mary G. (Wagner) Olson. Christopher was a 1994 graduate of Marshfield High School. He worked as a fabricator for Midstate Contracting and most recently at Custom Fabricating and Repair, both in Marshfield.

Christopher enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, skiing and snowmobiling and was a devout Green Bay Packers fan He loved music and enjoyed going to concerts with his mom and brothers. He was a good friend who could always be counted upon. He was honest, hardworking, unconditionally loyal, always up to a challenge and known for being a deep thinker. Faith was important to him and he drew upon his faith for guidance and strength. Christopher was strong willed, never wavering from his decisions, never taking the easy route and often chose the road less traveled. Living life to the fullest, Christopher will be deeply missed forever by his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Keith (Deb) Olson of Marshfield, and his mother, Mary Olson of Marshfield; two brothers, Donald (Cheryl) Olson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thomas (Cindy) Olson of Onalaska; and two step-brothers, Beau Serchen of St. Ignace, Mich., and Brant Serchen of Marshfield. He is further survived by a niece, Alexa Rae Fritsch of Chili.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Justina Wagner and Donald and Theresa Olson; cousins Cedric and Bethany Olson and Paul Nelson; and an uncle, Butch Weiler.
