He is survived by three children one sister, Mrs. C. T. Gansel, and one brother, G. M. Andrews. His wife, Fredericka Kroll, whom he married in Waukesha county in 1857, died nineteen years ago.

The spring following his marriage he came with ox team and covered wagon to Garden Valley, and since June 3, 1858, the farm where he died was his home.
