Webb, Fannie (3 AUG 1927)

At high twelve, on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1927, Miss Fannie Webb, daughter of Mr. A.J. Webb, of Melrose (Jackson Co., Wis.), became the bride of Mr. Howard Hemmy, younger son of Hon. And Mrs. P.A. Hemmy of this village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.). It was a pretty home wedding, at the farm of the bride’s father, adjoining the village of Melrose, Rev. T.P. Jones officiating, in the presence of the parents and relatives of the young people and a few friends. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Lillian Funk of Mondovi, and Mr. Amer Funk. The wedding flowers were carried by Daryl Hemmy, Berl Webb and Winifred Gassar. Miss Mildred Baker of Menomonie sang, and the wedding march was played by Mrs. Stanley Webb.

Following the ceremony, the wedding dinner was served, and then Mr. Hemmy and bride left for a few days auto trip. They will start housekeeping immediately upon their return, on the fine Hemmy farm south of this village, which the groom and his brother are operating.

Mr. and Mrs. Hemmy are both popular with the young people of this community, the bride having been domestic science teacher in the high school last year, and all extend to them congratulations and best wishes.

Those from here attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Hemmy, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Hemmy and family, Mr. Amer Funk, Miss Ida Zerbel. Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Gassar and family came from Baraboo to attend, Mrs. Gassar being sister of the groom.
