Pierce, Iva (20 JUN 1928)

Miss Iva Pierce, daughter of Mrs. Anna Pierce of this village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.), became a happy June bride on Wednesday, June 20, 1928, when the marriage vows with Mr. Arthur Meinholdt of the town of Eaton (Clark Co.), were pledged. The ceremony was performed at 1:30 that afternoon at the West Side Reformed Parsonage, in the presence of the immediate families of the contracting parties, the pastor, Rev. O.J. Vriesen, using the impressive ring ceremony. The wedding party then repaired to the home of the groom’s mother where a banquet was spread in honor of this happy occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Meinholdt began housekeeping at once on his farm near Greenwood. This groom is one of the enterprising young farmers of Eaton, and is quite successful in his vocation. The bride is one of the well liked young ladies of Humbird, whose many friends join in wishing her much joy in her wedded life.
