Hale, Alice L. (19 AUG 1929)

Miss Alice L., younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Hale, was united in marriage with Mr. William H. Calvert at six o’clock last Monday afternoon, Aug. 19th, 1929. The wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride’s sister, Dr. and Mrs. R.E. Jolin, in Rice Lake, Rev. J.W. Bichall, pastor of the Methodist Church, using the ring ceremony of the church. Following the service, a wedding dinner was served the party at the Isle of Pines.

The bride and groom left at once on a honeymoon trip to the Yellowstone Park, and after Sept. 20th, will be at home at Benton, Wis., where a fine new home is being erected for them.

Mrs. Calvert grew to young womanhood in our village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.), graduated from our high school, and later from the teachers college at Eau Claire. She has taught for a number of years, her last position being at New Diggings.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Calvert, well known residents of Lafayette County. He is a graduate of Ames University, and is engaged with his father in farming and stock raising.

May happiness and health be theirs on a long journey through life together, is our wish.
