Elizabeth 'Betty' Awe

GREENWOOD -- Elizabeth "Betty" Awe, 90, of Greenwood, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at the Clark County Health Care Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 11, 2006, at the Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood. Inurnment will take place in the Greenwood City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Nov. 11, at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 26, 1916, in the town of Warner to Harald and Anna (Aalbu) Larson. She married Andrew Szymanski in April 1937. They later divorced. She married Palmer Kolbo in 1946. They also later divorced. Betty married Herman Awe in June 1969 in Winona, Minn. He died in 1988. Betty was a homemaker most of her life. She also worked at the Loyal Cannery and Figi's for a short time.

Survivors include her daughter, Marganne (Harry) Lemmar, West Allis; two sons, Gene (Carie) Kolbo, Greenwood, and Jesse (Katrina) Kolbo, Weyauwega; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
